Amazon on Tuesday launched a public beta of a service dubbed the Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS). The main appeal: Allow customers to operate and scale database clusters while leaving pesky tasks like patching and administration to Amazon Web Services.
Adam Selipsky, vice president of Amazon Web Services (AWS), said the goal was to make it easy to scale MySQL clusters. He noted that “MySQL code and developer tools today will work with RDS.”
Think of it as MySQL in cloud computing...

In FireFox, you can dynamically set the EncType of a form element to be "multipart/form-data" for file uploads; however, this does not work in Internet Explorer (IE). Apparently in IE, you have to set the "encoding" of the form rather than the "enctype". The good news is, you can set both values without concern and this will take care of the problem:

I have used these two javascript plugins in a recent small project for a client who is selling a bar and wanted a photo and video gallery for potential buyers to see. I didn’t want to go the YouTube/object embed road, so this is what I came up with. Flowplayer is undisputedly a great flash video player versatile enough even for most projects with its free version and Fancybox I had used before in several other projects.
Fancybox is a fine modal box capable of showing pretty much any kind of content. The guys over at Flowplayer.org have released their own jQuery tools library which integrates perfectly with Flowplayer. I wanted the best of two worlds...FlowPlayer :: JQuery Media Player

An Excellent resource I came across while doing some research, not only for JQuery but for some JavaScript media players, I found Flowplayer.
Flowplayer is available in a Free download Available, as well as a Commercial Version. The Commerical Version Permits a great deal of extensibility as well as customization, as compared to the free version. As well, the Commercial version's key is based on domain (and you can use unlimited *.yourdomains with it as well).What can your Phone Number do?

On Wednesday, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and the US Department of Commerce said the agency will no longer have ties to the US government and will remain a private, not-for-profit organization.
